BOB WALLACE: Playing age late 20s-mid 30s, excellent baritone (crooner style) who moves
very well. The star singer and business brain of the Wallace & Davis team, a
sometimes gruff but honest man out of his depth in matters romantic (the
Crosby role in the movie)

PHIL DAVIS: Playing age late 20s – mid 30s, excellent top tenor but with a baritone
quality à la Fred Astaire, excellent jazz and tap (essential). The
irrepressible, clownish, womanising, song-and-dance comedy partner to Bob
Wallace (the Danny Kaye role in the movie)

RALPH SHELDRAKE: Playing age mid to late 30s, excellent swing baritone. A former Army buddy
of Wallace & Davis, now a TV executive on the Ed Sullivan show. Doubles as
the Snoring Man on the train to Vermont. Ability to play the accordion would
be an advantage.
